The popularity of the RYA PWC course has increased dramatically in recent
months due to the fact that the Competency Certificate is required by
the majority of insurance companies before they will insure owners of
a Personal Watercraft (Jet-ski).
The RYA PWC course is
designed for both first time riders and those with experience. During
the course you will cover everything from launching and recovery,
safety and navigation to high speed handling and care of your
machine.
Courses are run all year round in picturesque Poole
Harbour, where we are fortunate to have a designated Jet-ski area and
slalom course in place.
We run the courses on a bespoke basis
to suit your requirements, either on board your own PW if you have
one, or on our new SeaDoo Jet-ski. The course is run by our
Principal, Stuart Newcombe, who is passionate about the sport, making
the day not only an essential educational experience, but also great
fun to boot!
The course is also suitable for children aged
from 12 to 16 years, who will be awarded an endorsed certificate upon
successful completion. This means that they will be able to drive a
PW only under the supervision of a competent adult.
Whether
you would like to get more out of your own PW, learn the ropes before
buying or hiring one abroad, or want a great day out for your family
with the added bonus of everyone learning how to safely use a
Jet-ski, this course covers it all.
PWC course prices start
from £150 per person. There is an additional fee of £15 made
payable to the RYA for the certificate, (this is free for RYA
members).
